Aoba Suzukaze

Aoba Suzukaze is the protagonist of NEW GAME! and a young character designer at the game company Eagle Jump. She joins the studio because she admires the fantasy game created by art director Ko Yagami.

Enthusiastic, diligent, and initially inexperienced, Aoba wants to prove that she belongs in professional development. She grows more confident as she receives criticism, meets deadlines, and takes responsibility for her own designs.

Character design, mentorship, and confidence

Aoba specializes in 3D character modeling and later competes for major design assignments. Her relationships with Ko, Rin Toyama, Hifumi Takimoto, and the other team members show how mentorship and workplace friendship shape her career.
