Arthur Pendragon is a Saber-class Servant in Fate/Prototype and a male interpretation of the legendary King Arthur. He is summoned into the Tokyo Holy Grail War and forms a contract with Ayaka Sajyou.

Chivalrous, composed, and protective, Arthur carries the burden of kingship while trying to prevent the Grail War from repeating past tragedy. He treats Ayaka with respect and encourages her to act despite fear.

Excalibur, Ayaka, and version distinction

Arthur wields Excalibur and possesses the martial skill and magical resistance expected of the Saber class. His partnership with Ayaka, history with Manaka Sajyou, and later pursuit of the Beast distinguish him from the female Artoria versions used elsewhere in Fate.
