Astro

Astro is the small robot hero of Astro's Playroom and the wider Astro Bot series. He explores environments built around PlayStation hardware while rescuing other bots and confronting oversized mechanical enemies.

Astro as PlayStation's robot hero

Curious, brave, and playful, Astro communicates mainly through movement and expression. His motivation is simple but consistent: help stranded companions and restore the worlds disrupted by villains.

Gadgets, rescue missions, and the Bot crew

Astro uses jumping, punching, hovering lasers, and specialized suits or gadgets adapted to each level. His relationships are primarily with the other Bots he rescues, and later games expand him from a console mascot into the leader of a large robotic crew.
