Bondrewd

Bondrewd is a White Whistle Delver known as the Lord of Dawn in Made in Abyss. He operates the Ido Front research base at the fifth layer and conducts experiments on the Curse of the Abyss.

Courteous, visionary, and horrifyingly detached from ordinary morality, Bondrewd treats sacrifice as acceptable if it advances knowledge. He can show affection toward his test subjects while still using them as material.

Relics, experimentation, and Prushka

Through the Zoaholic relic, Bondrewd distributes his consciousness among the Umbra Hands, making his identity transferable. His experiments transform children into cartridges and alter Nanachi and Mitty, while his relationship with Prushka demonstrates the disturbing coexistence of parental care and calculated exploitation.
