Children of the Light

Children of the Light are the player avatars in Sky: Children of the Light, descendants or spiritual travelers who carry light through a fallen kingdom. Players explore realms, relive the memories of spirits, restore constellations, rescue winged light, and ultimately face the dangerous Eye of Eden.

Children of the Light's role, traits, and development

Their personality is intentionally open so each player can express identity through movement, emotes, masks, capes, hairstyles, instruments, and social behavior. Core abilities include flight powered by Winged Light, candle-based restoration, spirit communication, cooperative doors, music, and rebirth through the game's cyclical journey.

Children of the Light's role across the original work and adaptations

Other players become friends through gestures and shared exploration, while the Elders, spirits, and lost Children connect the avatar to the kingdom's history without imposing one fixed personal biography.
