Cu Chulainn is a Lancer-class Servant in Fate/stay night based on the hero of Irish mythology. Summoned into the Fifth Holy Grail War, he is forced to serve Kirei Kotomine after the death of his original Master.

Bold, honorable, and eager for a worthy fight, Cu dislikes cowardly orders and unnecessary cruelty. Although positioned as an enemy, he often respects opponents and follows a personal warrior's code.

Gae Bolg, warrior honor, and alternate classes

He wields the cursed spear Gae Bolg, whose techniques can reverse cause and effect or unleash destructive force. His encounters with Shirou, Rin, and other Servants show his independence, while alternate Fate works present younger, Caster, Berserker, and other versions of the same legend.
