Deedlit

Deedlit is a high elf and one of the central companions in Record of Lodoss War. She joins Parn's journey and represents the ancient elven culture of Lodoss while becoming closely involved in conflicts over the island's future.

Proud, perceptive, and initially distant from humans, Deedlit gradually respects their courage and short-lived intensity. Her affection for Parn challenges the separation between elven longevity and human life.

Spirit magic, Parn, and the passage of time

Deedlit uses swordsmanship, spirit magic, and communication with elemental forces. Her rivalry with the dark elf Pirotess and bond with Parn place her between cultural duty and personal choice, while later stories portray her protecting Lodoss after the original war.
