Echidna is the Witch of Greed in Re:ZERO and one of the witches encountered by Subaru in the Sanctuary. Her soul remains within the Trials, where she offers knowledge and proposes a contract in Re Zero Starting Life in Another World.

Echidna commands vast magical knowledge and can create or manage artificial spirits and complex barriers. Her fascination with Subaru's Return by Death leads her to seek unlimited information, while relationships with Beatrice, Roswaal, and the other witches reveal the long consequences of her experiments.
