Fate Testarossa

Fate Testarossa is a magical girl and major heroine in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. Created from the memories of Alicia Testarossa, she is initially sent by Precia Testarossa to collect Jewel Seeds and fights Nanoha Takamachi.

Fate Testarossa's path from rival to protector

Quiet, obedient, and starved for maternal affection, Fate accepts abuse because she wants Precia to recognize her as a daughter. Friendship with Nanoha helps her understand that she can choose a family and identity of her own.

Lightning magic, Bardiche, and chosen family

Fate uses lightning magic, high-speed flight, and the intelligent device Bardiche. She later becomes an officer of the Time-Space Administration Bureau and adoptive mother to children including Vivio, while her long bond with Nanoha remains central across later versions.
