Guideau

Guideau is one of the two central investigators in The Witch and the Beast and carries a curse placed by a witch. Traveling with Ashaf under the Order of Magical Resonance, Guideau hunts witches in hopes of finding the one responsible and reversing the curse.

Guideau's role, traits, and development

Violent, impatient, suspicious, and driven by personal revenge, Guideau has little interest in politeness but protects companions when trust is earned. The visible body has great physical strength and combat skill, while a far more dangerous true form can be released under specific conditions connected to the curse.

Ashaf is the calm partner who restrains and guides Guideau, while witches, the Order, and the elusive Angela define the search for identity, release, and revenge.
