Gum

Gum is a graffiti writer and playable member of the GG crew in Jet Set Radio. She joins Beat and the other skaters in reclaiming Tokyo-to's streets from rival gangs, corporate control, and Captain Onishima's police force.

Confident, rebellious, stylish, and energetic, Gum expresses identity through skating, music, and graffiti rather than conventional dialogue-heavy character development. She is skilled at high-speed inline skating, grinding rails, wall riding, evading police, navigating urban routes, and spraying graffiti tags.

Gum's role across the original work and adaptations

Beat, Corn, Combo, Cube, and other GGs are her teammates, while rival crews and the Rokkaku Group provide the competition and oppression against which the gang defines itself.
