Hunter

The Hunter is the player character of Bloodborne, an outsider who comes to Yharnam seeking treatment and becomes bound to the nightly Hunt. Through the Hunter's Dream, they confront beasts, corrupted hunters, and the Great Ones behind the city's nightmare.

The Hunter's personality and motives are shaped by player choices, but persistence and curiosity define the role. Each discovery raises the question of whether to escape the Hunt, submit to its rules, or pursue forbidden insight.

Trick weapons, Insight, and multiple endings

The Hunter uses transforming trick weapons, firearms, blood healing, and runes while gaining strength from Blood Echoes. Different endings can leave the Hunter human, replace Gehrman, or transform them into an infant Great One.
