Kanade Tachibana

Kanade Tachibana is the student council president of the afterlife school in Angel Beats! and is initially mistaken for an enemy called Angel. She enforces school rules while trying to help dead students accept their lives and move on.

Quiet, literal, and socially awkward, Kanade has difficulty explaining her intentions. Her loneliness begins to change after Yuzuru Otonashi treats her as a person rather than an obstacle.

Angel Player, Otonashi, and the heart that connects them

Kanade uses the Angel Player software to create abilities such as Hand Sonic blades, distortion barriers, and multiple copies. Her transplanted heart once belonged to Otonashi, and their final recognition gives both characters emotional closure.
