Kratos

Kratos is the protagonist of God of War, a Spartan warrior who becomes the Greek God of War before beginning a new life in the Norse realms. Betrayed by Ares and haunted by killing his family, he destroys much of Olympus in a campaign of revenge.

Violent, disciplined, and burdened by guilt, Kratos later tries to control the rage that once defined him. Raising his son Atreus forces him to replace secrecy and command with trust and patient guidance.

Kratos wields weapons including the Blades of Chaos, Leviathan Axe, and Draupnir Spear, supported by immense divine strength. His changing relationships with Atreus, Faye, Freya, and Mimir define his movement from destroyer toward protector.
