Kuma

Kuma is the English name commonly used for Teddie, a mysterious bear-like resident of the TV World in Persona 4. He guides the Investigation Team through the other world and helps them rescue people targeted by the serial case.

Kuma's place in the story of Persona4

Kuma is playful, flirtatious, insecure, and desperate to understand what he is and why he exists. He can sense Shadows, fight using a Persona, support the team, and later create a human appearance outside his bear suit.

Kuma's defining relationships and loyalties

His friendship with Yu Narukami and the Investigation Team gives him an identity beyond being a guide. Discovering his nature as a Shadow forces him to accept that meaning can be created through relationships.
