Kurama

Kurama is a fox demon reborn as the human Shuichi Minamino in Yu Yu Hakusho. He joins Yusuke Urameshi's team and uses his centuries of experience against demons threatening the human and spirit worlds.

Kurama's role in Yu Yu Hakusho

Kurama is calm, courteous, analytical, and compassionate, but he can be terrifyingly ruthless toward enemies who exploit others. He controls plants with demonic energy, carries the Rose Whip, and can temporarily return to the more powerful form of Yoko Kurama.

Kurama's relationships and major turning points

His love for his human mother changes him from an aloof thief into a protector. Friendships with Yusuke, Hiei, and Kuwabara help him reconcile his demon past with his chosen human life.
