Nagi

Nagi is a local goddess who manifests from a sacred tree in Kannagi and begins living with art student Jin Mikuriya. She tries to cleanse impurities and restore her divine standing after the tree that served as her vessel is cut down.

Proud, theatrical, temperamental, and insecure about whether people still believe in her, Nagi often hides vulnerability behind divine authority. She can perceive and confront spiritual impurities, use sacred objects, and draw power from worship, although her weakened state limits her abilities.

Jin becomes her housemate and strongest human connection, while Zange-chan embodies another aspect of the local deity and complicates Nagi's identity and status.
