Naked Snake

Naked Snake is the protagonist of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and the soldier who later becomes known as Big Boss. In 1964 he is sent into Soviet territory to rescue Sokolov, destroy the Shagohod, and confront his mentor, The Boss.

He begins as a loyal and disciplined operative, but the mission's political deception leaves him disillusioned with governments and military authority. Snake is an elite specialist in stealth, survival, close-quarters combat, weapons, camouflage, and battlefield improvisation.
