Neji Hyuga is a prodigious shinobi of Konohagakure's Hyuga clan in Naruto. Born into the branch family, he initially believes people cannot escape the fate assigned by birth and resents the clan's main house.

Neji is disciplined, severe, intelligent, and gradually becomes more compassionate after Naruto defeats his fatalistic worldview. He masters the Byakugan, Gentle Fist taijutsu, Eight Trigrams techniques, and near-complete defensive rotation despite branch-family restrictions.
