Neptune is the main heroine of Hyperdimension Neptunia and the human form of the goddess Purple Heart. She serves as the CPU of Planeptune and repeatedly becomes involved in conflicts threatening the nations of Gamindustri.

Neptune is cheerful, lazy, impulsive, and fond of games and snacks, but becomes more focused and commanding after transforming. In HDD form as Purple Heart she gains increased strength, flight, energy attacks, and proficiency with swords and other game-inspired weapons.

Her friendships and rivalries with Noire, Blanc, Vert, Nepgear, and the other CPUs turn competition between nations into a recurring alliance against larger threats.
