Pomni is a human consciousness trapped in the surreal virtual world of The Amazing Digital Circus. She searches for an exit while participating in adventures arranged by the artificial ringmaster Caine.

Pomni is anxious, skeptical, overwhelmed, and increasingly compassionate toward other trapped performers. She has no defined combat power, but her awareness, persistence, and refusal to ignore disturbing inconsistencies guide her through the simulation.
