Shantae

Shantae is a half-genie and the guardian of Scuttle Town in the Shantae game series. She protects Sequin Land from pirates, monsters, magical schemes, and recurring rival Risky Boots.

Shantae is cheerful, brave, impulsive, and determined to prove herself despite insecurity about her heritage. She attacks with her hair, performs magical dances, transforms into animals, and gains tools that vary between adventures.

Shantae's powers, allies, and character growth

Bolo, Sky, and Rottytops are close friends, while Risky shifts between enemy and reluctant ally. Losing and regaining magic repeatedly shows that Shantae's heroism is not dependent on genie power.
