Shiren

Shiren is the wandering protagonist of the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. He travels through dangerous procedurally changing dungeons in search of legendary places, treasures, and people who need help.

Shiren's central conflict and character growth

Shiren is quiet, courageous, resourceful, and defined more by action than extensive dialogue. He uses swords, shields, staffs, scrolls, pots, food, and careful inventory management to survive enemies and changing dungeon layouts.

Shiren's defining relationships and loyalties

His talking ferret companion Koppa is his closest partner, while recurring travelers and villages connect otherwise self-contained adventures.
