Valentine is a former medical operative and playable fighter in Skullgirls, serving as the sole survivor of the Last Hope anti-Skullgirl laboratory team. She infiltrates and manipulates other factions while working under Brain Drain and carrying guilt or hidden plans connected with her destroyed unit.

Clinical, secretive, sarcastic, and morally ambiguous, Valentine treats combat like surgery and rarely reveals her actual loyalties. She uses scalpels, syringes, body bags, poisons, medical crosses, acrobatics, and status effects in fast close-range fighting.
