Yui Hirasawa

Yui Hirasawa is the lead guitarist and one of the vocalists of Ho-kago Tea Time in K-ON! She joins the Light Music Club without knowing how to play guitar and grows through practice, concerts, school festivals, and daily friendship.

Yui Hirasawa's role in K-ON!

Cheerful, affectionate, distractible, intuitive, and highly motivated by fun and food, Yui learns music through feel more readily than formal theory. She plays the Gibson Les Paul she calls Gitah, sings, writes simple lyrics, and develops strong pitch recognition and performance confidence.

Yui Hirasawa's career and collaborations

Ui is her dependable younger sister, while Ritsu, Mio, Tsumugi, and Azusa become the bandmates whose companionship matters as much as the music.
