How FigureLoop Verifies Data

FigureLoop brings figure information from many different sources into one place. Most of the product details and images on the site come from publicly available manufacturer pages, official announcements, product catalogs, and licensed distributor websites.

We review that information before adding it to the database, then reorganize it into a consistent format that is easier to search and compare. This includes details such as the character, source title, manufacturer, product line, release date, price, size, material, and production credits.

Where Our Information Comes From

Whenever an official source is available, we use it as the main reference. Depending on the product, this may be a manufacturer page, an official brand website, a preorder announcement, a product catalog, or a regional distributor page.

These sources usually provide the clearest record of a figure’s original name, specifications, release schedule, price, included parts, and production staff.

We do not simply copy official product descriptions. Manufacturer pages are often written for marketing rather than research, and the way information is presented can vary widely from one company to another. FigureLoop extracts the useful product details and organizes them into fields that can be searched, filtered, and compared across the site.

How We Review the Data

Before a record is published, we check the available information and standardize details that may otherwise be difficult to match.

This can include correcting inconsistent name formats, separating the figure name from the character and series, converting measurements into consistent fields, and checking dates, prices, materials, product numbers, sculptors, and other credits.

We also connect each figure to the relevant character, franchise, manufacturer, artist, and product line. This helps prevent the same character, company, or series from appearing under several slightly different names.

Older Figures Without Official Pages

Not every figure still has an active official product page. Older manufacturer websites may have been redesigned, discontinued brands may no longer exist, and some historical product pages were removed before they could be properly archived.

When an official page is no longer available, we look for reliable records from established figure databases, archived webpages, retailer listings, printed catalogs, hobby publications, event reports, and other sources created around the time of release.

We do not rely on a single secondary source when better evidence is available. Important details are compared across multiple references, especially the product name, manufacturer, release date, original price, dimensions, materials, credits, included parts, and edition differences.

If two sources disagree, we give more weight to official records, contemporary materials, and references that clearly explain where their information came from.

Product Images

Most product images used on FigureLoop come from publicly accessible manufacturer pages, official announcements, licensed promotional materials, or other relevant reference pages.

Images may be resized, converted, or arranged to keep the site visually consistent. These changes do not transfer ownership. Product photography, character artwork, trademarks, and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

Updates and Corrections

Figure information is not always final when it is first announced. Release dates can change, specifications can be corrected, and different regional pages may list different prices or schedules.

Older records can also be incomplete. For that reason, FigureLoop treats verification as an ongoing process. A page may be updated when a stronger source, an official correction, or a more complete historical record becomes available.

We aim to keep the database accurate, but we cannot guarantee that every record is complete or error-free. For purchasing decisions, authenticity checks, or valuations, the manufacturer or rights holder should still be treated as the final authority.
