A Certain Magical Index

First introduced in 2004, A Certain Magical Index is a Japanese science-fantasy light novel series developed by Kazuma Kamachi, with illustrations by Kiyotaka Haimura. In Academy City, student Touma Kamijou becomes involved with Index, a nun carrying forbidden magical knowledge, placing him between scientific espers and occult organizations. The franchise expanded into anime, manga, games and spinoffs including A Certain Scientific Railgun and Accelerator.
